ORLANDO, Fla. —

An Orlando police officer was forced to fire his weapon at a car carrying suspects in a fatal shooting outside a nightclub early Sunday morning, according to police.
Police said Officer Robert Schellhorn, who was off duty officer working security, entered the Whiskey River Lounge on North Orange Blossom Trail just before 2 a.m. when a witness reported a shooting in the parking lot.
The witness alerted the officer to a suspect vehicle that immediately accelerated toward the officer, forcing him to draw his weapon and fire, officers said.
“The suspects immediately accelerated toward the officer, trying to run him over. The officer did discharge his service weapon,” said Sgt. Jim Young, with the Orlando Police Department.
The officer was able to avoid being hit as the suspects sped away.
Reports said that a passenger jumped out of the speeding car and ran away on Orange Blossom Trail.
The vehicle was later found unoccupied near the intersection of John Young Parkway and Orange Center Boulevard with guns inside, according to police.
“Inside that vehicle there were some guns located, however, no suspects have been located at this time,” Young said.
Around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, police identified the victim as 21-year-old Thomas Lamar McCrimon.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
The reason I am even mentioning this incident one of my coworkers was the girlfriend of the victim
who passed away. I don't understand why people feel the need to take deadly force to solve a dispute. He wasn't provoking the individual. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the time. I wish people had more compassion and didn't feel that they have the right to take someone's life.

I feel proud and exhilarated with in myself that I over come obstacles and still remain focus on my goals. Whether it's work, family, or even school. I believe its being tired of my current situation. I get looked over on promotions at work. With the end result getting my degree at least I feel I would have more opportunities and doors opening.

Thinking of mothers day

     As I sit in class I'm trying to think about what I want to say or speak about this week. First of all to all the mothers out there I hope you were able to enjoy your day. I know I did spending time with all my children at the same time is unheard of in my house . Between there friends and school my house seems to have a revolving door. I realized no matter what's involved in my children's lives I still take preference .This past week I'm glad that I got through the midterms. Over this past week it has been extremely difficulty. I don't know if I'm the only one but this school year for my children just flew by. They only have a couple weeks left. I can hardly believe that where did the time go.
    

 


As I read this I can't help to think about my own mother. How sometimes I take her for granted. She has always been my biggest supporters. Even when she new I was making a mistake but she always encouraged me to make my own decisions and never judge me. 

INSPIRATION

 

    This week I have been noticing I have been researching inspirational quotes to keep me motivated. This week I have come into situations with my family issues. I have a teenage son almost ready to graduate high school. Omg I cant believe how quickly they grow up. He is my motivation he knows how much I have been striving to excel in everything when I feel like giving up he keeps me in line with my goals and gives me pep talks to keep pushing me.

    I hope everyone in class had a wonderful week. This week I realized why I decided to go back to school to get a degree I cant stand having a dead end job. Has anyone had a supervisor who favors certain employees. I do .I think the only way for me is to focus on getting my degree and then moving onto to something I'm going to love.
     If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the outcome. I hope someone can relate to this saying. I'm trying to surround myself with positive influences.
